The first Construction Rocks event in Melbourne, where bands made up of musicians from the construction industry battled for first place, was a booming success last month. It was all to raise money to build homes for homeless young people.

The final winner was Hertz Donut with members from WSP, taking the trophy and the prize of dinner at BOMBA Spanish Bar & Restaurant.

Other talented contenders included Ozzy Ozborn McCutcheon (Bates Smart),  MashUp a Troi (Wood and Grieve) and Really Simply Minds! (WSP).

MashUp a Troi won the audience vote.

Judges on the night were no less than Darren Middleton, Lead Guitarist from Powderfinger, and Rob Zeidaks, Foundation VIC Board Member.
