Building partners and health providers to tour 18-bedroom crisis centre

VIC

This week, representatives from the property industry, building partners, health providers and local government will tour our 18 bedroom, $8m crisis accommodation centre built for Melbourne City Mission’s Frontyard Youth Services.

In Victoria, over 6,000 young people on any given night are experiencing homelessness – they may be sleeping rough, couch surfing, or living in unstable and unsafe housing.

Located in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD, the Frontyard Youth Services centre will be able to assist between 30 – 60 young people between the ages of 12 - 25 each day.  It is a four story building, containing two floors of crisis accommodation and connected services which address the immediate and long-term needs of young people,  24 hours a day.
