At the annual Colliers International Charity Lunch at Blackbird on 24 March the over 145 guests were entertained by Logie Award-winning comedian Effie but the event had a serious side, raising funds to help rebuild young lives.

Brian McGuckin, QLD Chair, Property Industry Foundation, thanked Colliers International for supporting the Foundation through the event.

“It’s through this fantastic support from Colliers International that we are able to do more to help at-risk and homeless young people,” he said.

Simon Beirne, State Chief Executive of Queensland, Colliers International said, “We were delighted with the money raised and thank our key clients for supporting Colliers International business and our brand in the community.”

Dr Katrina Lines,  Executive Director of Services of one of the Foundation’s Charity Partners, Act for Kids, spoke about her organisation’s work to prevent or treat child abuse and neglect.

“The Property Industry Foundation supports Act for Kids Integrated Therapy Service in Ipswich by funding a Speech Therapist to work with children and improve their developmental outcomes,” Dr Lines said.
