Brisbane Wrap Night a success for homeless youth

Brisbane Wrap Night a success for homeless youth

QLD

The recent Chocs for Socks campaign raised close to $1,000, buying enough winter woollens to fill 100 bags, lovingly sorted by 20 volunteers at the Wrap Night. The night was organised by our PAEXclusive Committee.

Items wrapped included socks, underwear, toiletries and chocolate Freddo Frogs.

Greg Clarke, PIF QLD Chair, said the items will be distributed to the drop-in centre operated by Brisbane Youth Service (BYS), located in Fortitude Valley.

“BYS will then provide homeless young people with the clean underwear, socks and toiletries,” he said. “Every little bit counts, and it’s important the industry participates in these initiatives to make a difference.”

Special thanks to Hannah Jonker and Jess Lewis from Colliers International for hosting the Wrap Night.
