Fundraising a piece of cake for Rider Levett Bucknall

A round of applause for the employees at quantity surveyor Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB) who baked til they dropped on Tuesday at their Sydney offices. Their bake off was to raise money to support the Property Industry Foundation rebuild young lives.

Lachlan O'Reilly, Assistant Surveyor, RLB said: “We wanted to incorporate a fun and uplifting event with staff participation while also relaying a message that is close to the hearts.”

The competition was fierce, as everyone put their best effort into creating amazing treats. By popular demand, a spanakopita (Greek spinach tart) won the Silver Spoon Award, baked by Project Surveyor, Connor Sfinas.

The event raised $130 through generous donations and RLB generously matched donations dollar for dollar. In addition to that, Matthw Harris, Managing Director, auctioned off two tickets to the Foundation's 2019 Charity Yachting Regatta Hamptons Beach Event. 

Matthew said RLB is a national donor to the Foundation and the preferred recipient of any fundraising.

“It is really important for us to help a charity like the Foundation that supports youth homelessness," he said.

RLB’s contribution to our mission over the years has been invaluable. They devoted numerous pro bono hours on PIF House Toongabbie, preparing the budget estimate for the project.
