Celebrating our volunteers - they make it all possible

NSW

This week we had our annual volunteer thank you event – the chance to acknowledge all their hard work and commitment over the past 12 months. From committees and building projects right through to events – they rolled up their sleeves and made a difference.

Everyone gathered at the Back Row West café near the PIF Sydney office for light refreshments and the chance to look back on all the successful events and projects over the past year.

PIF CEO Kate Mills said that volunteering was a way that the work of reducing youth homelessness became real for so many people.

“There’s immense value in being able to work with – and get to know - other people in the industry who are motivated by this issue,” she said

One volunteer Ruth Hoog Antink from Turnbull Engineering said she chose PIF over other charities because it deals specifically with youth homelessness.

“It’s so important for homeless and at-risk young people to have a stable place to grow and become independent,” she said.
