Launch event and inaugural Poker Tournament a success!
“All-in”, “buy-in”, “national approach” and “greater brand awareness” are all words you would have taken away from the Foundation’s official fundraising calendar launch and inaugural Poker Tournament, held in Brisbane on Tuesday 19 March.
Kicked off by CEO Kate Mills, who shared the initial PIF rebrand concepts that will be rolled out over the course of 2019, the event was then taken over by croupiers who guided novice and experienced players alike through the Texas Hold ‘Em style Poker that was played to raise money for youth homelessness.
The 90 strong group played for an hour – all in the name of charity and the chance to be crowned the inaugural winner. Special congratulations to Rebecca Leahy and Jake Ragkousis who finished first and second respectively.
Special shout out to Jake from realcommercial.com.au for sponsorship support and DEXUS for hosting us in ‘The Grove’. Special mention also to Bar Pacino for the grazing platters and prizes for our winners and to Mr & Mrs G, Bavarian Bier Café and Morgan Roberts Photography for providing our Lucky Door Prizes.
Mark your diaries folks – this event will return early 2020.
Special thanks to realcommercial.com.au for their sponsorship of the event.
