Penny Ransom

Penny Ransom (Chairman), Lendlease, Group Head of Investments

Penny Ransom is the Group Head of Investments at Lendlease. Lendlease is a globally integrated real estate and investment group with core expertise in shaping cities and creating strong connected communities. Lendlease has a strong history spanning over 60 years and has A$42bn of real estate funds under management.

Penny was previously Chief Investment Officer and a Group Executive at Investa.  Prior to this role, Penny led Investa’s Investment Management function, was Fund Manager of the ASX listed Investa Office Fund (IOF), Fund Manager of the diversified Dexus Wholesale Property Fund (DWPF), Head of Capital at Dexus in Sydney and Head of Equity UK/Europe at Lendlease in London.

Penny has 29 years of institutional real estate, transactional and investment management experience, and was previously at Lendlease for over 13 years.

Penny has a Bachelor of Business (Land Economics), a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment and undertook the Said Business School, University of Oxford Advanced Management and Leadersip Program in 2019.

Along with being Chair of the Property Industry Foundation (PIF), Penny is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), a member of Chief Executive Women (CEW) in Australia and is on the Board of the Rugby Union Players Association (RUPA) in Australia.

Natalie Devlin

Natalie Devlin, Chief Experience Officer, Charter Hall

As Charter Hall’s Chief Experience Officer (CXO) she is responsible for creating customer centric strategies that drive culture and customer connectivity across the Group, ensuring that customer experience is central to the Group’s operations. Prior to joining Charter Hall, Natalie was the Head of People and Development at Valad where she established and led the organisation’s Human Resources function, and the publishing multinational Wolters Kluwer where she was instrumental in transforming its operating model. She joined the Property Foundation Board in September 2023.

Salvatore Guardala

Salvatore Guardala

Salvatore was the former Chief Executive Officer of Lancini Property Group and was responsible for driving the company’s strategy and financial performance. Sal has overseen the master planning and execution of developments, marketing, leasing, property management, construction, HR and WHS functions.

With over 14 years’ experience in the property industry, including 4 years as Queensland Leasing Executive for Kmart, Salvatore has used his extensive experience in retail environments to motivate and lead property management teams and drive development outcomes.

Tim Slattery

Tim Slattery,

Tim is the chair of the Property Industry Foundation’s Victorian Advisory Board with its mission to end youth homelessness for Australian kids.

Tim’s career includes over 20 years of experience in commercial real estate with APN Property Group and Dexus, investment banking with Goldman Sachs and corporate law with Herbert Smith Freehills.

From 2013 to 2021 Tim was an Executive Director and then CEO of APN Property Group – a specialist real estate investment manager which grew to over $3 billion in assets under management in publicly listed and private equity funds.

On APN’s agreed sale to Dexus in 2021 until late 2022 Tim joined Dexus as an executive responsible for listed funds and private capital.

Tim is currently working with a number of Australian and overseas businesses and not-for-profit organisations on their real estate and investment opportunities.

Anthony Boyd, Frasers Property Australia, Chief Executive Officer

Anthony is CEO at Frasers Property Australia. With over 25 years’ experience in the property and finance industries and a strong business acumen, Anthony oversees the development of mixed use, commercial, build-to-rent and retail together with residential land, housing and apartments.

Anthony is also responsible for FPA’s investment property portfolio management as well as the sustainability focused energy retailer, Real Utilities. As a leading Australian property professional, Anthony represents Frasers Property on the Property Council of Australia’s Corporate Leaders Group and Champions of Change Coalition.

“We sometimes take for granted the idea of having a safe place to sleep every night. Unfortunately there are too many young people in Australia who don’t have that security. I am very proud to work with the Property Industry Foundation and great people throughout the industry to help build homes that can provide stability to homeless and at-risk youth and ideally a springboard to a better life.”

Virginia Briggs, MinterEllison, Chief Executive Officer

Virginia is the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Partner of MinterEllison and is a market-leading practitioner in the property, development and infrastructure markets acting for both government and private clients.

Virginia is passionate about the property industry and is heavily involved in the Property Council of Australia (PCA) including as a member of the PCA’s National Board. Virginia is also a Board member of Committee for Sydney and chair of its Knowledge Economy Taskforce and a member of our own National Board of Directors. Her passion and knowledge bring strength to our cause, further driving the tangible difference we can make as industry professionals.

“I’m passionate about the power of the property industry to work together to build a more inclusive society. I am delighted to be working with the Property Industry Foundation, its experts and advocates to drive new and innovative solutions to the long-term social challenge of reducing youth homelessness. Jane Fitzgerald, Property Council of Australia, Chief Operating Officer

In 2021, Jane Fitzgerald became the Chief Operating Officer of the Property Council of Australia after five years as NSW Executive Director where she led the advocacy agenda at a time of enormous investment and change in the sector. Prior to her appointment, Jane was a senior executive with the Commonwealth Attorney-General’s Department, the Deputy Director-General of the NSW Ministry for Police and chief of staff to two ministers in the NSW Government. Jane has a law degree and an arts degree majoring in politics from the University of NSW.

“As the industry that builds homes – bedrooms – for Australians in every nook and cranny of this bountiful land, we have a unique capacity to shift the dial on reducing youth homelessness. I’m constantly humbled by the generosity of property industry people – from the smallest participants to the biggest players. That’s why I’m proud to be on the Foundation’s board and to be able help Property Council members get involved. My kids have always been able to sleep safely at night. That should be a right and not a privilege for every Australian kid.”

Pete joined Victorian Funds Management Corporation (VFMC) in 2008 and has over 30 years’ experience in asset management, consulting and funds management.

His role as Head of Property at VFMC involves the responsibility for strategy, implementation and management of property investments in a $7bn portfolio of core and value add unlisted property funds and club style investments in Australia and the US.

Pete is a member of the Property Council’s Capital Markets Division Council and joined the VIC Board of Advisors in 2021.

Malcom Tyson, Colliers Australia, Chief Executive Officer

Malcom is the Chief Executive Officer of Colliers in Australia, responsible for leading the company’s enterprising culture and values that includes always doing what is right for Colliers’s clients, people and their communities. Colliers has supported the Property Industry Foundation since 2002 and sponsored the Sydney Sailing Regatta since 2011.
